The mission of the Just Like Me Cultural Arts and Education Experience is threefold:
- Educational foundation which builds upon individual talent to explore career options and opportunities in area of natural creative talent and abilities. Areas of exploration include singing; songwriting; dance; visual arts; web design/computer graphics.
- Ability for teen to choose to either:
- tell his or her story (either past, present or future), expressed through area of talent, or
- help tell someone else’s story
- In addition to the educational foundation, the camp will produce a web-based archive to serve as a reference point for future youth coming into care so they know they aren’t alone; that there have been others before them who have similar experiences.
